A print is a print is a

Not so fast! Not all prints are created equal. People have asked me, why are your print prices so high. I can get this size print at the drug store for $$. Traditional photographic based print can have a very limited life span, especially if the chemicals are not fresh, or if the rinse time is too short to clear all of the residual chemicals out of the paper. You may get ten or twenty years without a problem, but if you are paying good money to have a picture taken professionally it makes sense to invest in a high quality Gichee print. Pigment rather than dyes on a quality acid free paper, with reasonable care will outlast us all. I like to tell people that if this print fades in the next eighty years bring it back and I will replace it. It is worth the investment to know that ones grandchildren will be able to enjoy a piece of their history.

My Studio

Just when you think you have it sorted.

Just when you think you have a handle on the game, someone moves the goal post. All of these years I’ve worked with Front Page. Dozen of pages and I know how it is going to behave. I’ve been happy with my web site, but then I hear about WordPress, with RSS feeds and comment boxes and other useful feature and so here goes. My first attempts at WordPress and my brand new site. Welcome, more soon.
